As a fan of the idiosyncracies and charms of small teams in general, well it would be wrong of me not to point this out and give it my support, and the fact that it's Darlington makes it even better.
Darlo's youth team have got through to the third round of the FA youth cup, where they'll be taking on the might of Arsenal on December 1st. Big game, great experience for the lads and all that, even if it is being played at Barnet, and it would be great if they could get a result, so they want to go down to London the night before to make sure they're well rested. Problem is, they can't afford to, so the Darlington Supporters trust is soliciting donations to pay for the hotel.
